Peterfy-Novak Eva （Hungary）
Éva Péterfy-Novák was born 1961 in Diósgyőr, Hungary. Her novel A Woman, published in 2014, was a great success and was sold in more than 20 000 exemplars. The drama with the same title written from the novel got the prize “The Best Drama of the Year” in Hungary in 2016. Her second book, The Pink Costume (2017) contains short stories. Her third novel will be published in 2019. A woman (Egyasszony), by Éva Péterfy-Novák is about a mother, a daughter born with disabilities as a result of medical malpractice and an abusive marriage from which the wife is eventually able to get out. She participated with her husband, Gergely Péterfy in the “2017 International Writing Program”of the Lu Xun Academy in Beijing.
